Acanto is a young brand, but its history dates back a long way. Behind it is indeed a family company that has been producing shoes for some of the most important names in international luxury for over 35 years. A heritage of skills that today takes a new direction, transforming into a brand with its own identity. Salento is not just the place where the shoes are produced, but the common thread of the entire project. Territory, craftsmanship, aesthetics, and self-expression are the four elements around which the label builds its own language. At the center remains above all the material. The brand uses leathers selected from Italian tanneries, chosen for softness, hand, and technical characteristics. Each shoe is then made directly in the company’s Salento plant, where production is powered by solar energy. It is in the details, however, that Acanto wants to bring out its character more. Stitching, color combinations, workmanship, and constructions become part of the story, with the aim of creating soft and comfortable shoes without sacrificing a strong aesthetic and artisanal component. The next step? Milan. In fact, in September, the new showroom will open at via Pietro Calvi 15: a space dedicated to collections and brand development.

Summer in three models
The spring-summer 2027 collection brings this approach to footwear designed for both the female and male wardrobe. Among the women’s proposals is Deco, a sneaker in nappa and suede made with Strobel construction. What defines its identity are above all the contrast square point stitches, executed by hand, and the play of colors that highlights the most expressive component of the model. Lighter and more deconstructed is instead Versilia Mesh, a mesh and soft nappa moccasin with an elastic construction that focuses on practicality and comfort. The shoe can be completely flattened and easily stored in a suitcase or bag, becoming a proposal designed for travel and summer. On the men’s side comes Positano, a Mediterranean-inspired boat shoe made of suede. The rope color details, laces, and comb stitching on the front vamp and toe cap evoke the nautical world without losing the artisanal character of the project.
