When luxury starts circulating again. Camera Moda Fashion Trust and Vestiaire Collective support the new Italian talents

This is the idea behind the collaboration between Camera Moda Fashion Trust and Vestiaire Collective, a project that brings together circular fashion and philanthropy to concretely support the new generation of Italian designers. At the heart of the initiative is an exclusive closet sale, made possible by the generosity of the ambassadors of Camera Moda Fashion Trust. Around 25 of them have chosen to open their personal wardrobes and donate a selection of pre-loved luxury accessories: over 60 pieces including bags and shoes, available on Vestiaire Collective, with all proceeds going towards the Trust’s activities.

Icons from one wardrobe to another

The selection brings together some of the great names of Italian fashion – Prada, Ferragamo, Valentino, and Dolce & Gabbana – alongside pieces that not only showcase their aesthetic value but also tell a personal story. Highlights include the iconic Sicily Bag by Dolce & Gabbana, offered in leopard and red lace versions, unworn Prada and Miu Miu footwear, and Valentino bags and shoes from the famous Rockstud line. But the value of this collection lies not only in the brands or the exceptional nature of the individual pieces. Each accessory comes from a real wardrobe, that of the ambassadors who have chosen to turn a personal item into a concrete gesture of support for independent fashion.

“We are grateful to Vestiaire Collective for the collaboration that reflects the mission of our Trust: supporting independent designers and promoting a more conscious approach to fashion.” — Carlo Capasa, president & trustee

Circularity as a new form of value

The collaboration with Vestiaire Collective also brings a broader reflection into the project on how we view luxury today. An item does not lose its meaning with its first owner. It can continue to live, change hands, enter a new wardrobe, and acquire a new story. Pre-loved fashion thus becomes not only a more conscious choice but also a tool capable of generating new value. This is the shared vision of the two entities: using circularity to create a community around fashion and, at the same time, turning the desire to own a special item into an opportunity to support those who are shaping the future of the industry.

“It is a great opportunity to unite our communities and celebrate the creativity, craftsmanship, and talent of independent designers, while highlighting the role of circularity in shaping a more responsible approach to fashion.” — Alessandra Maraschio, marketing director, Vestiaire Collective

Investing in talent before it becomes a name

Behind the initiative lies an even more important question: how can we support today the designers who will represent the future of Italian fashion? Creativity and talent alone are not enough. Starting a new brand means facing economic, production, and entrepreneurial challenges that can make even an extraordinary creative project fragile. This is why the work of Camera Moda Fashion Trust aims to offer concrete support to independent designers, helping them turn their vision into solid and sustainable entrepreneurial realities. Italian fashion has built its identity on craftsmanship, research, and savoir-faire. Continuing this story also means creating the conditions for a new generation to write the next chapter.

“As always, our ambassadors have shown extraordinary generosity, confirming that true style is not just about what we wear, but about giving something in return.” — Umberta Gnutti Beretta and Warly Tomei, co-founders & co-chairs

A purchase that goes beyond style

The collection will be available from September 10 at 9:00 am on the app and on the Vestiaire Collective website. Prior to the launch, on September 8, there will be a preview event at Sant Ambroeus in Milan, just as the city returns to the center of the international fashion scene with the start of the September fashion season. For those who purchase one of the pieces from the selection, the choice will not only be aesthetic. Behind a bag, a pair of shoes, or an accessory, there will be the opportunity to directly contribute to the growth of new talents. Because perhaps true luxury today is precisely this: giving what we own a new story and, through that story, helping to build the future.
